Bio/Description

Argit is an MD/PhD student in the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and in the Princeton University Molecular biology department. He received his B.S in General Biology and Public Health at Keystone College and then trained as a post-baccalaureate research fellow at the Laboratory of Precision Omics, at NIH. As a fellow, he developed a protocol to isolate and enrich mitochondrial DNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells and analyzed the health outcomes of genomic variances in mitochondria between donor and recipient of heart and lung transplant patients. Argit joined the Wühr lab in 2021, where he is interested in applying the fundamentals of proteome homeostasis and perturbances to clinical applications.
