Bilal is a graduate student in the Chemical & Biological Engineering department. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering with an additional major in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. His undergraduate research focused on developing new assays to study mRNA lipid nanoparticles, with the goal of accelerating the production and development of new mRNA vaccines. Bilal’s research interests lie at the intersection of chemical engineering and biology; he enjoys applying his quantitative engineering skills to the vast landscape of biological research.
