About
Bio/Description

Ed is a graduate student in the Molecular Biology department, and he received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno. As an undergraduate, his research focused on understanding how plant post-translational modifications (PTMs) regulate metabolism and signaling. Specifically, he developed a centralized repository for Arabidopsis PTM information along with establishing Marchantia polymorpha as a novel platform for signaling network discovery. Ed joined the Wühr lab in 2021, where he is interested in understanding the basic principles underlying the expression and turnover of proteins within cells. Outside of lab, he is a marathon runner, board game enthusiast, and enjoys habitually getting dizzy on caffeine.
